Maritime Truss Limited Terms & Conditions
- PROPOSAL
1.1 The quote is provided based on the plans and information given to Maritime Truss LTD (MTL) by the Customer.
1.2 Carefully review all information provided, including layouts and/or drawings.
1.3 Any additional material, not listed above or shown on layouts, required to complete this project, regardless of reason, will accordingly, be added to the quoted price shown above.
1.4 This quote is valid for seven days.
1.5 If delivery/pick-up is requested after 3 months of order date, prices are subject to change without notice.
1.6 If customer is not the end user, it is the responsibility of customer to ensure end user has reviewed MTL’s terms and conditions
- INSTALLATION
2.1 Installation not included.
2.2 All special instructions provided are part of this quote and shall be followed.
2.3 Any site alterations or modifications, regardless of reason, deemed necessary by the builder or owner, must be reviewed, by MTL prior to commencement of work. Any back charges resulting from unapproved work will not be paid.
- LIABILITY
3.1 MTL is a building component supplier and as such may supply “a portion of” or “all of” the required engineered components structure. MTL does not design or analyze the entire structure system.
3.2 MTL does not guarantee the performance of all engineered components when used as a structural system; this can only be a Licensed Professional Engineer.
3.3 It is the customer’s responsibility to consult a Licensed Professional Engineer if a structural analysis of the building is required.
- DELIVERY
4.1 Delivery is included (FOB jobsite), unless otherwise specified.
4.2 Notify MTL of any special delivery requirements (i.e., narrow driveways, split material deliveries, need for small truck, etc.)
4.3 Extra deliveries, which are requested but not required, must be arranged through your MTL representative and will be subject additional delivery fees.
4.4 Includes offloading to the ground by MTL forces.
4.5 Booming to walls will be done at the discretion of the boom truck operator if time, site and safety conditions permit.
4.6 It is the customer’s responsibility to provide adequate access and laydown area at the delivery site to ensure safe and damage-free drop-off. Failure to do so may result in delays and or extra fees, including towing off the job site.
4.7 MTL reserves the right to refuse delivery due to site conditions. This may result in delivery delays and or additional delivery fees
4.8 MTL is not responsible for any driveway damage caused by its delivery truck.
4.9 MTL reserves the right to apply a fuel surcharge at time of delivery subject to change weekly based on fuel costs.
- PAYMENT TERMS
5.1 All materials delivered to job sites are property of MTL until full payment is received.
5.2 50% of quoted value shall be paid at time of order. The remainder shall be paid prior to manufacture , unless credit terms have been established.
5.3 Accepted methods of payment include: cash, cheque, and e-transfer. Debit/Credit cards are not accepted.
- MODIFICATIONS/CANCELLATIONS
6.1 Any cancellations and/or changes to the ORDER, prior to manufacturing, will result in 15% engineering fee.
6.2 Full payment will be required by the customer if the order has been manufactured.
